RED WEDDING DRESS Georgia 2014
Joy Thigpen + Emily Newman
Hannah knew exactly how she wanted to look and feel on her wedding day to Andrew, and it was anything but standard. She chose to wear a red wedding gown, not only because she knew it would be the most flattering shade, but because she believed the color would make a powerful statement. Joy Hoffman created a stunning custom gown and a delicately embroidered lace capelet, while Hannah added a ten-foot long gold veil, and an antique German crown as the finishing touches. In her own words, Hannah looked decorated, like a talisman.
The rest of their celebration was equally as bold, with every detail artfully inspired by Dutch masters paintings. Soft candlelight and moody florals set a romantic tone for the reception, and they brought in one of their favorite local popsicle trucks, King Pops, as a surprise for all of their guests. In traditional Southern fashion, Hannah and Andrew exited their party without saying goodbye, driving off in a van they had spray-painted with the words, “Just Married.”
