Maximalist Wedding Inspiration

Last year I hosted a little birthday dinner for myself in Cabo at Acre Baja and celebrated with my husband and best friends. Here are a few favorite decor photos— I was super inspired by Gucci maximalism and wanted something bold, funky, and pattern-on-pattern. I’m super grateful to Smith + James Events for designing this event for me. The custom menu hand-painted by Elsa Madeline Design is one of my favorite elements—I really wanted to have a meaningful keepsake for my guests (and selfishly myself) so enlisted Elsa to design a menu art directed by me with wild elements that I love including a cheetah and snakes, and the menu read “Mexico es para los enamorados”. It’s always fun to see some behind-the-scenes, so here’s a link to where my inspo started. Sometimes I have a burst of energy to create and this birthday party really satisfied that craving! Special thanks to Haniya Calligraphy for hand-lettering the menu and La Musa de las Flores for the otherworldly florals.

And just for fun, because I rarely share pics of myself, but here I am very excited for flan!
